Science ExplorerBox

Sent directly through the post to little explorers, the Science ExplorerBox turns your kitchen table into a wondrous science lab for children aged 3-8.

The Science ExplorerBox includes:

• Build a Skeleton – Pop out the bones to build a model human skeleton and use your measuring tape to measure and record the length of the bones. Learn all about the bones in the human body and how we measure length.

• Grow a Cress Head – Plant cress seeds in your cup, draw a face and watch with amazement as the cress hair appears. Learn how plants grow and extend the fun by taking your plant spotting guide on an expedition to the park.

• Make Magnetic Butterflies – Make and decorate paper butterflies to attract with your very own chunky magnet. Experiment with what is attracted to your magnet in the world around you and learn how magnets work and what they are used for.

• Create a Liquid Rainbow – Mix sugar, water and coloured paint to create an incredible liquid rainbow and learn all about density, solids, liquids and gases.

Each activity is in an individual package which contains all of the materials and instructions required, fun facts cards and great ideas for other ways to explore the theme.

If they would like to, little explorers can build up a collection of the facts cards in a separately purchased 'ExplorerBook' and keep talking about their adventures over and over.

All of the activities are inspired by STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and encourage children to be outside, active, investigative and imaginative.
